We are competitively priced with other builders, but limit the homes we take on per year to ensure we pay close attention to every detail of your home. Nell Homes works very closely with you from beginning to end, which is something our clients really enjoy.

Charley Nell doesn’t just build houses — he builds legacy homes designed to stand the test of time. Raised in Medina, Ohio in a second-generation custom home building family, construction has always been second nature.
Long before founding Nell Homes, Charley was learning the craft from the ground up — understanding that true quality lives in the details you don’t always see. While attending Kent State University, Charley began building professionally in 2006 with his father and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management with a minor in Marketing. That combination of field expertise and business strategy allows him to deliver not only beautifully crafted homes — but a seamless, well-managed building experience from concept to keys.
Charley has built a reputation for blending timeless design with modern performance. He embraces today’s advanced building systems, energy-efficient technologies, and premium materials to create homes that are as durable as they are stunning. His commitment to craftsmanship and innovation has earned him recognition and partnerships with respected industry leaders including DEWALT, James Hardie, and Pella — brands that have trusted him for promotional campaigns, instructional content, and product installation expertise.
Beyond building, Charley has contributed to the industry by developing installation best-practice guides and educational materials that help raise standards across the trade. Despite the accolades, Charley remains deeply hands-on. He is personally involved in design meetings, client consultations, and key construction phases — ensuring every Nell Home reflects the integrity, precision, and pride his name represents.

If Charley is the visionary behind Nell Homes, Rose is the engine that keeps it running at full speed. A proud graduate of Kent State University (Class of 2009) with a degree in Communications, Rose brings polish, professionalism, and precision to every custom home project.
With a background in finance and commercial construction, she understands both the numbers and the jobsite — making her uniquely equipped to manage the moving parts of high-end custom builds. At Nell Homes, Rose oversees the day-to-day operations that keep everything on track. Permitting? Scheduled. Budgets? Dialed in. Timelines? Managed. Payroll and coordination with trades? Handled.
Custom homes involve hundreds of details — and Rose keeps them organized, efficient, and stress-free for clients. Her communication skills are one of Nell Homes’ biggest strengths. Clients appreciate her responsiveness, clarity, and ability to guide them confidently through each phase of the building process. She brings the perfect balance of warmth and structure — making families feel comfortable while ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. Married to Charley for 13 years and raising three amazing kids together, Rose knows firsthand what “home” truly means.
That perspective fuels her passion for helping families create spaces where life happens. And when it’s time for the big reveal? Don’t be surprised if you find her doing one final walkthrough with a cleaning cloth in hand. Yes — operations director by day, final-detail perfectionist by night. If there’s a fingerprint on a window before move-in, she’s probably already taken care of it.
